  • 2Interview with Hayden Haitana, a New Zealand horse trainer at the centre of a betting scandal in Australia. Fine Cotton, a moderately performed gelding, was backed from $34 to $4.50 and won — before the alarm was raised. Stewards pounced when bookmakers cried foul and uncovered the plot as white paint dripped from fake markings on “Fine Cotton’s” legs. Cries of “ring-in” rung across the course. The horse was actually a superior race horse called Bold Personality. Despite being in hiding, Haitana spoke in an interview with Australia's 60 Minutes programme.
