In 1986, off Fremantle, Australia KZ7 was the most dominant boat in the Louis Vuitton Cup round robin competition, winning 33 of 34 starts. In the Semi finals KZ7 swept French Kiss 4 races to nil, and reached the Louis Vuitton Cup Finals, where the New Zealand Challenge lost to Dennis Conner's and Stars & Stripes 87. This 30-minute documentary traces KZ7's journey and celebrates how close the New Zealand syndicate came to challenging for the America's Cup.
