  • 1The Amazing Race New Plymouth's Lisa Tamati will be the first Australasian woman to take on the Badwater race through America's Death Valley. She'll face blazing days of up to 57 degrees Celsius heat - and must run continuously on a route that's 217 kilometres long. 20/20's Sonya Wilson is with her every heartstopping step of the way, as she faces every challenge imaginable to reach the finish line. 80 contestants will attempt the race - but not everyone will make it. And very few of the contestants have the history Lisa does, after a broken back when she was 21 nearly put paid to her dreams forever.

  • 2Hosed Off It was a story that captured international attention - grainy images of a young woman apparently disciplining a toddler in an unthinkable way, by spraying her with a high-pressure hose at a carwash drive-in. Reaction was immediate and there was concern about the child, and whether she was in imminent danger, and anger at the woman who dared pull out the hose. What emerged was the story of a 22-year old single mother, who tells 20/20 she simply made a poor decision in the heat of the moment. Now debate is raging over whether she should face jail time.

  • 3Prison to Prosperity After spending nearly 20 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, Dwayne McKinney made the decision to forgive those who wronged him and has turned his life around to become a millionnaire businessman.

  • 4"Cheating Heart": It's all over the news - couples, even celebrity ones, breaking up because someone cheated. So what's going on? A controversial advice columnist and self-confessed bad boy believes he has the answers to helping women understand men. As Steve Santagati tells 20/20, in acting on their most primal urge, guys aren't sorry for having "cheat sex" - they're only sorry they've been caught. But he also thinks he's narrowed down the number one reason for cheating - and how to stop.

  • 5The movie "The Dark Knight" may be doing a roaring trade, but there's another Batman movie that has viewers talking. And unlike the box office smash hit - it's not relying on highly paid stars or high-powered special effects. Instead these Lego crazed fans are making their own movies using - yup - bits of the famous plastic to replicate some of the most well known movies ever made. And with each one taking up to a year to make they really are a labour of love.
