The familiar faces of 3 News - John Campbell, Carol Hirschfeld, Clint Brown and Toni Marsh - will be taking a short break over Christmas and the New Year, replaced by some other TV3 faces…some familiar to TV3 viewers plus some new faces too.
3 News (weekdays) will be presented by Alistair Wilkinson (25 December to 24 January) and Mike McRoberts (27 January to 7 February), both from ‘60 Minutes’ and covering for John Campbell - who has just been voted ‘Best News Presenter: Male’ in the TV Guide ‘Best on the Box’ competition, as voted for by viewers. John Campbell returns to TV3 screens on 10 February.
Hilary Barry presents 3 News (weekdays) alongside Alistair Wilkinson from 25 December to 10 January, covering for Carol Hirschfeld, who will be returning on 13 January.
Presenting weekday sport on 3 News are Shaun Summerfield (25 December to 10 January) and Michelle Pickles (13 January to 17 January), covering for Clint Brown who will be returning on 20 January.
Meanwhile Rose Daly, who usually presents the weekend weather, covers the weekday weather for Toni Marsh from 25 December to 12 January.
Tune into 3 News (every day at 6pm) and Nightline (week nights at around 10:30pm) on TV3 for comprehensive news and sports coverage throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
