  • 1Te Maori Exhibition The New York opening of the Te Maori exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MOMA), which was also covered in a two page Time Magazine review. There are 174 artifacts included in the exhibition, including Te Kauru-o-te-rangi which was released by it's owners just in time to travel. Kaumatua from the various tribes accompanied the artifacts and conducted the ceremonies to introduce and care for them, and hand over their care to MOMA.
