1There is conflict in the West Irian state of Indonesia, over transmigration and resources, which has caused refugees fleeing the Indonesian military to flood into Papua New Guinea. The ABC Four Corners programme sent a team to the West Irian border with Papua New Guinea to talk to the rebel leader from the Free Papua movement (Organisasi Papua Merdeka, OPM) which is dedicated to freeing Papua from Indonesia. This upset the Papua New Guineans who complained with the result that the ABC dropped the interview. This has blown up unto a major row in Australia, so the story has now gone to air uncut.
