Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is a charitable Trust established in 1988. Its structure is lilened to the tongue of the taiaha. The base is Ruanga and the tip represents the Maori community of heretaunga the units, divisions, management and governance form the body. It's truly a by Maori for Maori operation.
