It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Sir Paul Reeves. Our condolences also go out to the Reeves whānau at this time of great sorrow. As our nation’s first Māori Governor-General and a leader committed to Māori development, we will commemorate Sir Paul’s life and his many achievements this week on Māori Television. The network will screen a range of special programming activities this week, including coverage of the state funeral on Thursday morning, daily extended news coverage on Te Kaea, and a special screening of Ta Paora, the documentary on the life of Sir Paul made by his daughter Jane Reeves for Māori Television.
