Elementary
When an old case from Gregson's past resurfaces Holmes is troubled to realise he cannot argue with his own findings as spotty police work is unearthed. Also, Watson pays a trip to rehab. Sherlock identifies new murders as the MO of Wade Crewes, the serial killer whose arrest made captain Toby Gregson's NYPD career. Their friendship is strained by the necessary questions whether it's a copycat, a former accomplice or even the real serial killer, and, worse, if Wade's initial conviction rested on a trumped investigation, notably by Gregson's partner at the time.
