Dramatised documentary about a nomadic Mongolian family and how the youngest daughter Nansal finds a puppy and keeps him secretly when her father refuses to keep him in case of bad luck. When they move camp the father ties up the dog and leaves him. However, the dog escapes, and when he protects the family's baby boy from a flock of vultures, the father relents and agrees to his becoming part of the family. Inspired by a story by Gantuya Lhagva.
