Black Sheep (1999)
Gay Aboriginal director Louise Glover relates her life story of growing up in a racist, homophobic environment. An enlightening exploration of racial and sexual identity as assumptions and stereotypes are examined. The director relates being brought up in country New South Wales as white, her Indigenous heritage having been kept a secret for three generations. Moving to the city she comes out as gay and her indigenous heritage finds her.
