Discussions with speakers from various tribal areas on their traditional practices of gathering kaimoana from Te Tai Rawhiti (East Coast). Looks at different types of seafood, methods of gathering, the types of nets used, and teaching skills of the whānau. Speakers: Philip Aspinall and Iranui Haig (Te Whanau a Ruataupare), Taina Ngarimu, Tom Fox and Pine Ngarimu (Te Aitanga a Materoa), Hoko Reihana (Ngai Tane), Hoani Manuel (Te Whanau a Takimoana), Pohatu Wano and Koro Dewes (Te Whanau a Hunaara).
