National Radio's two-hour news and current affairs programme.

  • 1Theresa Gattung, former chief executive of Telecom speaks out ahead of her new book. She's taking a swipe at her successor Paul Reynolds, who's been under fire for problems with the company's cellular XT network and the emergency 111 system. She's criticised the size of his salary, and believes he's faced less scrutiny than she did because he's a man.

  • 2How much faith can we have in the television rating system when more and more households use television recorders like Tivo and My Sky to watch their favourite shows when it suits them? At the moment television viewing is based on live viewing of programmes by 500-households with set-top boxes which record what they watch as it aires. In Australia the technology has been mofified to record how many people watch a particular programme over the following seven days; this has already seen big changes in how some shows rate. Is it time for a system change in New Zealand?
