  • 1There has been international condemnation of Israel's raid on a flotilla of aid ships heading to Gaza. Six-hundred of the activists are being held in detention centres across Israel, and at least 9 were killed. Israel has announced that it will immediately deport all 680 pro-Palestinian activists, including New Zealander Nicola Enchmarch, it seized in a bloody raid. Activists on the six ships in the aid convoy were initially taken to the Israeli port of Ashdod, before they were moved to the southern town of Beersheva.
