  • 1Ever Present, First Peoples Art of Australia opens in Auckland The largest collection of First People's art to be presented in Aotearoa opens at Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland Art Gallery. Two of the artists, Christopher Pease, a descendant of the Minang/Noongar people of Western Australia and Dr r e a who's a descendant of the Gamilaraay/Wailwan and Biripi peoples of New South Wales join Māpuna today. And with them is the curator of Ever Present Tina Baum, from the Gulumirrgin Wardaman/Karajarri peoples of the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
