Over the past 60 years Maoridom has produced many prominent artists and one who definitely belongs in that category is Sandy Adsett, although he prefers to see himself as a painter. He says he's always loved the challenge of working with colour and if it ever feels too easy, too automatic, 'if I paint by numbers, it's no good.'
