1. David Frye on Richard Nixon, the Marijuana skit. -- 2. Satirical songs: Love me I'm a Liberal, Phil Ocks; Jimmy Newman, Tom Paxton; Talking Vietnam Potluck Blues, Tom Paxton; Black Day in July; Tom Paxton; and others. David Frye was an American comedian, who imitated famous political figures, including former U.S. Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon, as well as film celebrities. In one skit Mr. Frye even had President Nixon smoking marijuana and reporting, in hushed tones, “I see spacious skies and fruited plains and amber waves of grain.”
