Programme continues:
Pressure groups are traditionally an important channel through which New Zealanders take political action. Now there is the rise of protest groups operating outside the established protest organisations and demonstrating, wanting more instant action. Younger people think that demonstrating itself in enough, and just by demonstrating government opinion will change. The programme discussed the need for and means of communication, propaganda, and the need for the individual to feel part of presenting alternative points of view. it also covers who is demonstrating and people feeling part of being united on a social conscience issue.
