Established in 1995, Ōpōtiki Mai Tawhiti believe in nurturing the younger generation in Te Whakatōhea tikanga, kawa and whakapono as the end-all of kapa haka. Winners of the 2014 Mataatua regionals and runners up at 2015 Te Matatini in Christchurch, Ōpōtiki Mai Tawhiti is definitely a crowd favourite.
