Michif Country Andrina Turenne
Métis musician and cultural ambassador Andrina Turenne visits “Michif Country” to hunt with local Métis hunting guide Charles Langelier. Although Andrina has hunted moose and deer, this is her first time personally harvesting a deer.
The St. Laurent Métis nation on Lake Manitoba has the most active and talented hunters, trappers, and fishermen in the community. To this day, they remain a vibrant community that has successfully preserved their language and traditional lifestyle.
