Weekly current affairs from Television New Zealand (TVNZ).

  • 1What happens the day after Armageddon? If there was a nuclear war in the Northern Hemisphere, clouds of dust and smoke would blot out the sun, preventing both heat and light from reaching the earth's surface. The world would be dark and cold beyond anything humans can imagine. Without light and warmth, plants would not grow, animals would freeze and starve and humans would perish in the nuclear winter. All life would be extinguished in the Northern Hemisphere. But what about the Southern Hemisphere? Would we survive the ecological apocalypse? If we did, what would our new circumstance be like? These questions have become the focus of considerable scientific activity.
