  • 1Auckland Police blamed liquor for much of last night's violence in Auckland's Queen Street, which erupted towards the end of a free outdoor concert in the central city. Hundreds of concert-goers went on the rampage, attacking Police, wrecking cars and looting shops. Dozens of people were injured, 42 of them Police officers.
