  • 2Farmers and other users of agricultural chemicals are upset about the latest call to ban the use of 2,4,5-T in New Zealand. A Cambridge doctor has called it a "national scandal" that the Government has not looked more closely at the use of the chemical 2,4,5-T (Trichlorophenoxyacetic acid) in New Zealand. He believes it is responsible for myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as Tapanui Flu, in many New Zealanders and links it to the symptoms shown by Vietnam Veterans who were in contact with Agent Orange.
