  • 1State Fix The controversial narcotic Methadone is being used around the world to treat hundreds of drug addicts. In new Zealand it has been available free of charge at nine drug treatment centres for the past decade. Critics say it is a "State fix" that is open to abuse by drug addicts, but supporters say it is a lifesaver for many addicts hooked on hard drugs such as heroin.
