  • 1The trade union movement in New Zealand is preparing itself for major changes which will alter the structure of industrial relations in New Zealand. Last week the Federation of Labour (FOL) Conference approved the concept of a Council of Combined Trade Unions, a significant move towards modernising industrial relations. The Government opened the floodgates of change when it released its Green Paper on Industrial Relations in December 1985. Today the New Zealand Business Roundtable released its response to the Green Paper.
