  • 1Anorexia and Bulimia As the warmer weather approaches, the retailers' emphasis is once again leaning towards promoting fashion for the thin and weight loss programmes. An increasing number of young women feel the pressure exerted by society to such an extent that they worry themselves into sickness, sometimes even death. Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder which affects entire families. Bulimia is a disease which sees patients gorge on food only to vomit it up again. Both conditions are psychological in origin and both affect around 15% of women between the ages of 13 and 25. Discussion and viewer talkback with two experts working with eating disorder patients, Dr Wayne Miles and Dr Helen Nelson.
