A daily, midday, news package which featured an in depth interview about a current news topic. Viewers could phone in and ask questions of the key interviewee.

  • 1Chase Corporation Yesterday the Chase Corporation announced it was to dump most of the board members of the Farmer's Trading Company (FTC), a business which Chase bought into a month ago. For better or worse, Chase has carved itself an image of corporate carnivorism, takeover kings and destroyers of old buildings which are being replaced with glass towers. They are regularly accused of spoiling New Zealand's cities and of bending the rules and using standover tactics on property owners reluctant to sell. But there is little hard evidence of this, and they have been largely responsible for increasing the tempo of development in New Zealand's largest cities. What is their motive and their agenda? Are their buildings intended for obsolescence in ten or fifteen years? Do they care about people or the cities which they are helping to reshape? Discussion and viewer talkback with News and talkback about the Chase Corporation after it Seph Glaw, Property Director for the Chase Corporation about who Chase are, and what their long-term agenda is.
