  • 1Trade Unions A veteran trade unionist recently called the Federation of Labour (FOL) "a shambles which lacked pride and leadership". He was responding to a book by fellow trade unionist Tony Neary, The Price of Principle, in which Neary warns of the insidious threat of those with extreme left-wing views (communist views) taking over the trade union movement. Neary has recently stepped down as the General Secretary of the Electrical Workers' Union, a job which saw him frequently at odds with the FOL. Discussion and viewer talkback with Tony Neary about his view that "the Reds are not hiding under the beds, they are already in them, sitting up and having breakfast."
