  • 1Eating Out Some of New Zealand's top restaurants, especially in the tourist areas of Rotorua, Taupo and Queenstown, are serving "overpriced garbage that is blatantly aimed at ripping off the overseas tourist." This is the conclusion of restaurant critic and author of the independent restaurant guide Eating Out, Michael Guy. He lashes out at establishments that partner mediocre food with flashy service and notes that they proliferate in the tourist areas. However, many in the restaurant business claim Guy makes these outlandish criticisms simply to attract media attention, and thus sell his book. Discussion and viewer feedback with Michael Guy.
