TVNZ’s flagship,primetime current affairs show which ran from March 1988 to December 1994. It replaced current affairs show "Closeup', which ran from 1980 to the end of 1987.

  • 1For years, wards and hospitals have used Maori methods of treatment. They appear to have operated successfully and without discord. But not so the Whare Paia at Carrington psychiatric Hospital. Titewhai Harawira is fighting for the complete independence of her unit from the hospital. Some see the struggle as a microcosm of a campaign by Maori activists for sovereignty over New Zealand.

Now Health Minister David Caygill has to decide whether or not to act on the report's recommendations. Interview with the report author, Alan Gibbs and Chair of the Otago Hospital Board Professor Michael Cooper, who disagrees with many of the report's recommendations.
