TVNZ’s flagship, primetime current affairs show which ran from March 1988 to December 1994. It replaced current affairs show "Closeup', which ran from 1980 to the end of 1987.

  • 1Cabinet Minister Mike Moore delivered a speech this week, which was highly critical of extremist ideologies on both sides of the debate surrounding Maori fishing rights and land claims. Part of the current debate centres on the Government's Green paper called Partnership Perspectives, a discussion paper concerning power and resource sharing between Maori and Pakeha. The Government's plan for a devolution of power arose from a complex bureaucratic process of maneuvering at the highest official levels, which has left many Maori suspicious that the Government plans only minor power sharing. A backgrounder, followed by studio debate about the state of race relations in New Zealand.
