48 Hours investigates the most intriguing crime and justice cases that touch on all areas of the human experience, including greed and passion

  • 1To Catch a Crook Tens of thousands of Americans make their living as career criminals in the United States. They represent only 10% of all criminals but commit 50% of all crimes. In three cities, police are zeroing in on these repeat offenders, trying to find them, catch them and put them away. However, that is much easier said than done. Segments include: 1. Badfellas - Inside Miami's Career Criminal Unit. 2. Manhunt - Suspected murderer on the run. 3. Waiting Game - a look at the surveillance needed to catch offenders in the act. 4. Man Of Steal - A former master burglar gives advice on burglary prevention as his new career. But has he really gone straight? 5. Crime Story - Interview with a criminal psychologist about why people commit crime. 6. The Catch - How police are luring convicted criminals into their hands.
