He served three months of a six month sentence in jail and received a $2000 fine. But did he learn his lesson? 2Slave Trade Prostitution in Rome - women are being kidnapped in Eastern Europe and trafficked to Rome where they are forced to work as prostitutes. A number of Catholic priests now walk the streets in Rome, helping the prostitutes and encouraging them to escape from their captors. Correspondent: Christiane Amanpour Producer: Steve Tkach Over 100,000 young women from impoverished Eastern Europe have been lured and abducted to the rich sex crazed Western European capitals where they are forced to become prostitutes. Escape is a risky option - if caught they may be beaten and hundreds of these terrified women have even been murdered. Christiane Amanpour talks to some of the rescued women and their families and looks at what is being done to prevent this Slave Trade from continuing. [01/07/01]
