The 69-year-old sued the Waitakere City Council and builder Robert McDonald and his company in relation to her rotting house in Hobsonville. In a High Court case Colleen was awarded $250,900 because Waitakere City Council inspectors approved the construction method used to build her house, which went on to rot.

  • 3For Evermore The rise of Evermore, the Kiwi band on the brink of conquering the world. In January the three brothers from Fielding became the first Kiwi band in a decade to top the Aussie music charts, with Light Surrounding You hitting the top spot 14 weeks after its debut. The band is made up of Jon, Peter and Dann Hume, who moved to Australia in 2000 and have slowly been building a fan base across the ditch ever since. In 2005 the band won the APRA silver scroll award for song writing, they have had a number of top 20 singles in Australia and their music has appeared on the hit US drama The OC.
