But as TVNZ's Sunday programme found out - in a rare interview - he is a man of many talents Myers occupation is now listed on the NBR rich list as philanthropist and though he may be in semi-retirement he still has an eye for a business deal. He gives $200,000 annually for a student to go to Cambridge University and a scholarship for teachers from Kings College to study abroad. He's given Auckland University $1 million for a new business school and $1.5 million for a performing arts centre named after his father.
