  • 1Day of Shame It was a war crime, an atrocity committed by New Zealand troops. They walked into a village and systematically murdered as many as 130 unarmed, innocent civilians. No-one was ever held to account, and the stain on our proud military history was brushed aside with a 850 pound pay-off. Sunday has tracked down a survivor and they demand New Zealand faces its past.

  • 2AF 447 What caused the Air France Airbus to crash into the Atlantic on June 1 with the loss of 228 lives? Automated radio messages were the last contact with Flight 447 but they gave nothing away. A week later rescuers pulled two bodies and debris from the ocean 1,000 kilometres off Brazil's northern coast leaving grieving families crying out for an explanation. Investigators will draw conclusions but it can't ever be more than informed speculation because the real answers are locked in the Airbus A330's black box flight recorder at the bottom of the ocean. Why do airlines rely on devices hatched in the middle of last century that can disappear or be damaged or destroyed? And did Air France move quickly enough to replace parts known to be systematically unreliable?

  • 3The Offcuts We saw the unbridled joy, the man hugs, the wild celebrations in the All Whites' dressing room on Sunday last week. Our cameras gained access where other cameras were not allowed to go. There were memorable scenes after the All Whites earned themselves a ticket to the FIFA World Cup. The story prompted calls for Sunday to show all the video shot in the dressing after the game. This Sunday we answer your call.
