1The Bitter Truth A recent BBC Panorama investigation into the supply chain that delivers a lot of chocolate to the world market, found evidence of human trafficking and child slave labour. The probe also revealed that there is no guarantee that child labour has not been involved in the supply chain despite some chocolate brand promoting themselves with the "fair-trade" label. This begs the question - is the offending cocoa finding its way into New Zealand chocolate? But as Sunday discovered - there are no guarantees that it doesn't.
