1Forgotten Sons In ten days time the country will pause and remember those who have given their lives in battle. But the army itself might like to pause and consider for a moment how it treated two former soldiers who were horrifically maimed. Instead of looking after the Nepata brothers, they ejected them from the army and they were all but forgotten. They have never received neither an apology nor any compensation for what they suffered. Native Affairs tells their story in the hope that Defence officials will revisit the case. The item is followed by an interview with United Future Leader Peter Dunne, who chaired the Parliamentary Select Committee that recommended compensation for the Nepata Brothers.
