Duncan Garner and Guyon Espiner present a current affairs programme which features stories from some of New Zealand’s top journalists and brings a human face to the issues that matter to New Zealanders.

  • 1Hannibal Hayes is a legend in his own lifetime - a fearless chopper pilot who has probably saved more lives than anyone else in New Zealand. When a plane goes down in Antarctica, he is the man who leads the search; when a tramper is lost in Fiordland, he is likely to be first to the scene. But if you want to make a television piece about him, there is a problem: Hannibal Hayes never plays ball. Well, almost never. However, there is one person he can not refuse.

  • 3Could David Ross be New Zealand's version of Bernie Madoff? He is being investigated for running what looks like a giant Ponzi scheme in the form of Ross Asset Management - taking hundreds of millions of dollars from New Zealand families, pretending to invest the money, but instead robbing Peter to pay Paul. The story is followed by a live studio interview with financial commentator Bernard Hickey.
