Duncan Garner and Guyon Espiner lead two opposing teams, with referee Linda Clark, as they debate the big issues facing New Zealanders.

  • 1Auckland is sucking the life out of New Zealand. Auckland city is growing by three people every hour. With that sort of growth the city's population is expected to almost double over the next 30 years. Does that mean that whatever Auckland wants, Auckland should get? Or is the country as a whole paying too high a price to support Auckland already? Today's moot: Auckland is sucking the life out of New Zealand. Guyon Espiner leads the team advocating for the importance of Auckland in the New Zealand economy, while Duncan Garner leads the team arguing that Auckland is taking too many resources from the rest of New Zealand.
