It's the same with having a warm, comfortable, healthy home. There are three ingredients ` insulation, ventilation and heating. The first ingredient is insulation to trap heat in. Insulate ceilings, walls and floors and stop draughts. The next ingredient, ventilation, is important keep air fresh and dry. Use externally vented fans to remove moisture from kitchens, bathrooms and laundries. Here's a tip ` the simplest way to ventilate is to open your doors and windows for just a few minutes each day. Our third ingredient ` heating. Efficient heaters use less energy, so it will cost you less to keep your home warm. Combining the three ingredients of insulation, ventilation and heating together is a recipe for warmer, drier, healthier homes, and that's better for all of us.
