It's a different parade of nations this year, because they will come through the middle of the stadium. The athletes will parade through the centre, because there is no track. All of the other national Olympic committees as the world leans on the big stage to Rio de Janeiro. Tradition dictates that Greece comes first. It's alphabetically in Portuguese, so countries might not be in the order you would expect. Afghanistan has won two medals at previous games. One in tae kwon do. World 400m champion. This is Gambia, represented by four athletes making their Olympic debut, including their first-ever Olympics swimmer. Ghana are multiple football youth world champions. The last individual Olympic medal was the boxing bronze as far back as 1972 in Munich. What a sight. Six games as an independent nation for Georgia. TCHRIKISHVILI is the judo player, Gold at the world games last year. CHEERING three-time hosts of the Olympic Games, including the last Olympic Games four years ago. One of only five countries who have competed in all previous games. The flagbearer is Andy Murray, the defending Olympic champion. Great Britain is the most successful nation in Olympic sailing history and in recent years they have enjoyed success in rowing and track cycling and also enjoy success in equestrian events. Watch out for the gold medallists in dressage from four years ago. One of them will be retiring after the games. The flagbearers is Kirani James. He won gold in London and the 400 m, his country's first medal. This is Guam. Schulte is leading them out. They have the heaviest ever Olympian at London four years ago weighing in at 218 kg. The Central American nation of Guatemala and they won their first ever gold medal at London 2012. They are a neighbour of Brazil. They have won one previous medal, a bronze for Michael Antony. The athletes will be loving the music and Brazil. They have a very rich musical tradition and first competed in the 1986 Mexico games and they are yet to win a first Olympic medal. A country with the highest adult literacy rate in the sub-Saharan. Very powerful wrestler is Midana. 800 m runner, and she is the country's first female Olympian and she competed at Sydney and Athens. Castelly leads out Haiti. They won in windsurfing at Atlanta in 1996. SZILAGYI is the flagbearer, the 26 year old fencer and the reigning world champion. You have to think back to an Olympian who was born deaf and she holds the rather unusual status of being an Olympian with three names because she married twice. Yemen have sent athletes to every game since their first appearance in Barcelona in 1992, so this is the seventh games. India - the second most populous country in the world behind China. 33-year-old shooter Abhinav Bindra. He is the only goal medallist for India in a sport other than hockey.
