Coming up on Te Karere... Gable Tostee did not murder Warriena Wright. That's the conclusion the jury came to in relation to the charge of murder made against Tostee. Paralympians are calling for more support. Rotorua has a new anthem that's been performed by children 21 October 2016 Due to the live nature of Te Karere, some segments will not be subtitled. Tena koutou katoa, and welcome to Te Karere. Gable Tostee has been found not guilty of murdering Warriena Wright. But the verdict did not come without court room confusion. Prior to the verdict the defence team asked for the jury to be discharged because of a breach of information on social media. Peata Melbourne has more. After four days of deliberation, Gable Tostee emerged from the court a free man. No crime committed, but a tragedy for Warriena Wright's whanau. Turning to Tinder for some fun with a man she'd never met, Wright was in Gold Coast for a wedding and met up with Tostee for the first time. What was supposed to be a night out with a man, ended up being the night she met her death. Tostee has previously served time in prison and is a prolific social mediarite who has boasted online about sleeping with hundreds of women, posting this shortly after his release. But the self-proclaimed playboy is no murderer. Tostee also suffers from a form of autism who says he had been robbed previously. He set up security cameras and habitually recorded audio conversations on his phone. Those recordings proving vital in court. Moments before the verdict was due to be announced, it emerged that a juror had posted messages of the case on Instagram. Tostee's Defence demanded the trial be aborted and jury discharged, an application rejected by the judge. The jury found Tostee not guilty after one life ended, and many more ruined. Peata Melbourne, Te Karere. Rio 2016 Paralympic Games gold medallists Sophie Pascoe, Liam Malone, Cameron Leslie and Nikita Howarth are throwing their support behind a new series of local events set to help disabled people get involved in sport which is ran by ACC and Paralympics NZ. It's hoped that the move will give Paralympics New Zealand the opportunity to spot talent that could move into a pathway focussed on developing future Paralympians. A hard game of wheelchair rugby to promote paralympic sport. Wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball and blind football were some of the paralympic sports being played today. The main hope is to raise the awareness of paralympic sports in communities and also to gain more funding. To add also the paralympians believe there's a lot of talent here today. Nonetheless, the kids thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity. The second event will be held at Cambridge on November 5 and the third event at Cowles Stadium, Christchurch, on February 18, 2017. So get amongst it so that paralympic sports becomes more successful in years to come. Te Okiwa McLean, Te Karere. Toi Maori Aotearoa is celebrating 20 years of promoting Maori art not only in this country, but across the world. Since the organisation was set up it's been at the forefront of the development of Maori art including the careers of Maoridom's up-and-coming and best known artists. Eruera Rerekura reports: It's a call that brings together the crowd to celebrate Maori art. For Toi Maori Aotearoa it's an occasion to remember the achievements over the past 20 years. There was also time to remember those people who have passed on who carried the work of Toi Maori. Such as Te Aue Davis and others like her, she was a respected expert at what she did, and following her was Erena Puketapu Hetet from here, Although the seed was planted here, the fruits of hard labour have blossomed all across the world. He also says he's hope is that Maori art reaches all corners of the globe so that everyone knows about our stories. Eruera Rerekura, Te Karere. After the break, The All Blacks are gunning to be the first team to win 18 test in a row when they take on the Wallabies on Saturday night. For the more senior members of the team, who have now won multiple World Cups, Bledisloe, rugby championships and almost every other trophy under the sun, this world record is something they want to add to the list. The Wallabies are completely ignoring the win streak and their own poor record at Eden park - they haven't beaten the All Blacks at that ground since 1986. The game starts at 7:35 on Saturday night. Joseph Parker's world heavyweight title fight in New Zealand has been officially sanctioned by the WBO. Parker will fight Mexican - American Andy Ruiz on December 10th for the WBO belt that was vacated by Brit Tyson Fury. Ruiz has an unbeaten 29 fights under his belt with 19 knockouts but is a good match up for Parker who has 5cm in height on his Mexican opponent. Ruiz has been on Parkers radar for a while and the South Auckland kid is confident he can take him. The fight is likely to be held at the Vector Arena in Auckland. While they narrowed the margin, poor shooting stats ensured the Silver Ferns would again concede netball's Constellation Cup to Australia. The Ferns needed to win big in Invercargill to take out the series but it was the Diamonds surging to the front. The Ferns were still in the game, heading in to the final quarter and even the final minute until a misfiring Bailey Mes blew this chance. The Diamonds winning the final test to take the series 3-1. Tumamao Harawira is here to talk sports ahead of the weekend. We're unable to provide subtitles. They've laid out the welcome lawn to welcome the world to the World Masters Games 2017. It's the biggest sporting event in the world with 28 different sports to compete in. The inaugural event was hosted by Canada, but now NZ has volunteered to take on the huge event. But there's another side to it, which is to keep the masses entertained while showcasing our beautiful country. Organisers held an event to give people a taste of what to expect in six months time. The participation registrations are filling up steadily, but volunteers are another issue. So to the athletes and volunteers out there, here's your chance. Hania Douglas, Te Karere. Now let's take a look at what Maori Programmes TVNZ has to offer over the weekend. This week on Waka Huia. Pou Kokiri. I am the 'police officer' for marae protocol. We take our tikanga Maori seriously - we don't want the tikanga to become Pakeha. I'm not saying I am an expert at tikanga. But I was raised with the tikanga of home. 10am Sunday TVNZ 1.
