HELLO. WE FINALLY HAD OUR HIGH, A BIG HIGH SITTING OVER THE COUNTRY TODAY GAVE US A GORGEOUS LOOKING DAY. TEMPERATURES INTO THE MID- TO EVEN CLOSE TO UPPER-20S ACROSS PARTS OF THE SOUTH. MORE FINE WEATHER TOMORROW, BUT THERE'S A BIT MORE CLOUD AND A COUPLE OF TROUGHS SLOWLY WORKING INTO THE PICTURE AS WELL. THAT MEANS THE LONG WEEKEND ` WE'RE JUGGLING SOME TROUGHS, SOME CLOUD AND SOME FINE WEATHER. BUT ALL THE DETAILS COMING UP. RIGHT NOW, IT'S 6 O'CLOCK. CAPTIONS BY ALEX WALKER AND FAITH HAMBLYN. CAPTIONS WERE MADE WITH THE SUPPORT OF NZ ON AIR. COPYRIGHT ABLE 2017. THE MEDIA ARE HUNGRY FOR ANY INFORMATION AS WINSTON PETERS GRABS LUNCH, BUT STILL NO DECISION ON A COALITION DEAL. WE'RE LIVE FOR THE VERY LATEST. KIA ORA. GOOD EVENING. THINGS ARE MOVING RIGHT NOW AT PARLIAMENT, SPECULATION MOUNTING THAT WINSTON PETERS IS ABOUT TO ANNOUNCE WHO'LL FORM THE NEXT GOVERNMENT. THIS COMES 26 DAYS AFTER THE ELECTION. OUR POLITICAL TEAM'S ACROSS MINUTE-BY-MINUTE DEVELOPMENTS WITH ALL THE MAJOR PLAYERS INVOLVED IN DISCUSSIONS. WE BEGIN WITH POLITICAL EDITOR CORIN DANN. THE WAIT CONTINUES, CORIN. AN EXTRAORDINARY TENSE AND DRAMATIC AFTERNOON HERE AT pARLIAMENT. We are expecting Winston Peters, he is still locked in his offices in a meeting at the moment. You should see him in the not-too-distant future walking past me down there Heading to the beehive theatre where he is expected to Give some media statement. We do not know which way he is going. There have been plenty of rumours, reports and leaks. Someone suggested is looking more likely for labour. But we are a long way from figuring out what exactly is going on at the moment. Have a listen to Winston Peters from earlier today. This was about midday when he went out to get some lunch. IT'S SERIOUSLY DIFFICULT, BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, THERE ARE... PROS AND CONS FOR EVERY PART OF THIS, THE DECISION WE'VE GOTTA MAKE. AND WE'VE GOT ONE MORE CHANCE TO EVALUATE WHAT IT MEANS BOTH WAYS. IS IT BECAUSE THERE ARE TWO GOOD DEALS ON THE TABLE? IS IT A HARD CHOICE TO MAKE BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN OFFERED A LOT? DEPENDS WHAT YOUR PERSPECTIVE IS. WELL, LET'S BE HONEST. NO... NO NEGOTIATION ENDS UP PERFECTLY, THE WAY YOU'D LIKE IT. BECAUSE IF IT WAS THE WAY YOU LIKED IT, YOU WOULD NEVER BE IN A NEGOTIATION IN THE FIRST PLACE. DO YOU EXPECT TO HAVE ONE MORE MEETING, DO YOU? YOU'LL HAVE SOME LUNCH, AND THEN YOU'LL GO BACK AND HAVE ONE MORE GO TO TRY AND GET THIS DECISION? WELL, ACTUALLY, I'M GONNA HAVE SOME BREAKFAST. (CHUCKLES) SO, WE'LL GO BACK. WE'VE GOT A FEW HOURS TO GO, BUT WE HOPE TO COMPLETE IT. It is pretty clear that looks like Winston Peters may have missed his third deadline In these negotiations that have been going for 12 days or so. That may well have been broken now. Brinkmanship is now happening. He is now taking this right to the wire to push both sides as far as he can. We know there was a leak and reports from the MBR suggested That National had pushed back Against extra ministerial positions. Winston Peters had been cited heading up a back way to the labour offices. Not much certainty. We will stay with you right through the news our. TO POLITICAL REPORTER ANDREA VANCE NOW, WHO'S BEEN FOLLOWING BILL ENGLISH AND THE NATIONAL PARTY. ANDREA, WHAT HAVE WE HEARD FROM THE NATIONAL CAMP TODAY? A very anxious wait for Bell English and the rest of the national Caucus. We did have a chance to talk briefly with Bell English this morning. He was on his way into a Caucus meeting Together sign off on the deal that they had agreed with Winston Peters. He was not giving away much of what was in that deal, But National was quietly confident that Bell English would still be the prime minister this evening. There was potential for some tweaks. Here's a little of what he had to say this morning. WE'VE HAD... A PERIOD OF INTENSIVE NEGOTIATION, AND I'M SATISFIED THAT THE AGREEMENTS THAT WE'VE REACHED WITH NEW ZEALAND FIRST WOULD BE ABLE TO FORM THE BASIS OF A STRONG AND COHESIVE GOVERNMENT. We did ask Bill English How the situation would be communicated to him today. He was unclear this morning about how he would be informed by Winston Peters, Whether he would be told before Winston Peters came here and made his announcement. The same is true for labour. We are not sure how Winston Peters will communicate as this is international and labour. POLITICAL REPORTER KATIE BRADFORD JOINS US NOW. KATIE, LABOUR HAS ALSO BEEN MEETING TODAY, BUT NO WORD FROM JACINDA ARDERN? Labour has been very quiet today. The Green party delegates will be having a four-hour conference call. Can you hear me OK? The Greens will be having a four-hour conference call tonight to discuss policy An plans. I have spoken to a couple of people who will be in on that meeting. They say they don't know much about what it will be about, But the Greens will have to sign off on any deal with labour and New Zealand first. Labour discussed earlier in the day the proposal that had been put to them from New Zealand first. People have been going and then out of the office all day. New Zealand first have been up to those labour floors on and off all day as well. I am here where the New Zealand first offices are, In the media have been waiting for a few hours now, Expecting Winston Peters or some kind of news to come out. THANKS. LET'S GO BACK TO CORIN NOW. STILL NO SIGN OF WINSTON PETERS, CORIN? I am told that he is still in the offices with the doors shut. It is my understanding that he will be over here to the beehive theatre soon. Things have apparently unravelled on these talks. Winston Peters set a clear deadline for the country that he would be announcing this afternoon, And that deadline looks to be passing. You have to ask the question what has gone wrong? Where is the pressure pointing in this. You would have to say things are starting to unravel a bit. He needs to get on top of this pretty quickly. THANKS. AND OUR POLITICAL TEAM WILL STAY RIGHT ACROSS DEVELOPMENTS, AND WE'LL CROSS LIVE TO WINSTON PETERS AS SOON AS HE MAKES AN ANNOUNCEMENT. TO OTHER NEWS, AND THE NORTHLAND REGIONAL COUNCIL SAYS ITS INVESTIGATION INTO THE RUPTURED FUEL PIPELINE INDICATES A DIGGER WAS WORKING IN THE SAME AREA THREE YEARS AGO. IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE THE PIPELINE RUPTURED, CAUSING WIDESPREAD DISRUPTION TO AVIATION AND FUEL SUPPLIES TO AUCKLAND. THE COUNCIL SAYS IT HAS FINALLY SPOKEN TO THE LANDOWNER'S WIFE, BUT HAS YET TO IDENTIFY THE DIGGER DRIVER, ALTHOUGH IT'S FOLLOWING A 'STRONG LINE OF INQUIRY'. LEGALLY THE COUNCIL HAS UNTIL MARCH NEXT YEAR TO LAY ANY POTENTIAL CHARGES IN RELATION TO THE SPILL. URGENT ACTION'S NEEDED ON CLIMATE CHANGE IF NATIVE WILDLIFE IS TO SURVIVE IN NEW ZEALAND, ACCORDING TO ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS. IT'S A WARNING THAT FOLLOWS THE LATEST ATMOSPHERE AND CLIMATE REPORT, WHICH PAINTS A GRIM PICTURE OF OUR CLIMATE AND SEA LEVELS. CHRIS CHANG EXPLAINS. THE TUATARA IS OUR LIVING DINOSAUR, BUT THE ENDANGERED SPECIES FACES A BATTLE TO CLING ON IF CLIMATE CHANGE CAN'T BE CURBED. THEY LAY THEIR EGGS IN A NEST, AND WHAT SEX THE BABY'S GOING TO BE IS DETERMINED BY THE TEMPERATURE WHILE THOSE EGGS ARE IN THE NEST. WE GET 2 DEGREES OF WARMING, AND WE'VE GOT ALL BOYS. JUST THINK ABOUT A WORLD LIKE` (CHUCKLES) LIKE THAT FOR A MOMENT. AND OTHER NATIVE ANIMALS ARE AT RISK TOO AS WE FACE RISING SEA LEVELS AND WARMER CLIMATES. A NEW REPORT PROVIDES A SNAPSHOT OF THE CHALLENGE AHEAD. OUR ANNUAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURE'S INCREASED BY 1 DEGREE SINCE 1909. THAT MAY SEEM SMALL, BUT IT REPRESENTS A RAPID INCREASE OVER A CENTURY. CLIMATE AFFECTS EVERYTHING ` FROM THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOD CHAIN. AND BY MESSING WITH THAT, WE MESS WITH EVERYTHING. NEW ZEALAND'S GLACIERS HAVE LOST A QUARTER OF THEIR VOLUME SINCE 1977, FRANZ JOSEF VISIBLY RETREATING OVER THE YEARS. AND SEA LEVEL'S RISEN BY UP TO 22CM AT OUR MAIN PORTS SINCE 1916. WHEN IT COMES TO GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS, THEY'RE UP ALMOST 25% FROM 1990 TO 2015. IN FACT, WE'RE THE FIFTH HIGHEST EMITTERS PER CAPITA OF ALL THE OECD COUNTRIES. AND WHILE THE DATA MAY PROVIDE A REV UP FOR HOW WE TACKLE CLIMATE CHANGE, MANY SAY MORE URGENCY'S NEEDED. THE MESSAGE IN THAT IS IT'S POSSIBLE AND WE NEED TO ACT. BUT SOME OF THESE GASES ARE LONG LIVED, SO THEY'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO IMPACT US NO MATTER WHAT WE DO OVER TIME. SO THERE IS A PORTION OF THIS THAT IS STARTING TO GET TO THE IRREVERSIBLE. A SOBERING THOUGHT FOR A COUNTRY THAT'S A LONG WAY OFF TRULY BEING CLEAN AND GREEN. CHRIS CHANG, 1 NEWS. OUR THRIVING HONEY INDUSTRY COULD FACE MASSIVE FALLOUT FROM THE MYRTLE RUST OUTBREAK. FIVE MONTHS SINCE THE DISEASE WAS SPOTTED IN KERIKERI, AND EXPERTS STILL DON'T KNOW HOW FAR IT'S SPREAD. SAM KELWAY REPORTS ON THE ONGOING INVESTIGATION. THIS HEDGE IN TARANAKI NOT SUCCUMBING TO ITS INFECTION ` RATHER IT'S BEING CHOPPED DOWN TO AVOID ANY FURTHER SPREAD OF MYRTLE RUST IN THE AREA. DEPENDING ON HOW IT ACTS, IT CAN LITERALLY WIPE OUT SPECIES. THE SERIOUS FUNGAL DISEASE AFFECTS PLANTS IN THE MYRTLE FAMILY AND HAS HIT 122 PROPERTIES NATIONWIDE, SPREADING ITS YELLOW-COLOURED RUST TO TREES LIKE POHUTUKAWA, RATA AND MANUKA AS WELL AS SOME COMMON GARDEN PLANTS. WE COULD LOSE SOME OF OUR ICONIC SPECIES THAT WE HAVE IN NEW ZEALAND, WHICH IS JUST A BIT UPSETTING, REALLY, WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT LIKE THAT. SINCE THE OUTBREAK IN MAY, THE CORROSIVE DISEASE HAS BEEN SPOTTED MAINLY IN THE NORTH ISLAND. TARANAKI IS THE WORST HIT WITH 78 SITES, FOLLOWED BY 34 IN TE PUKE, SIX IN WAIKATO AND FOUR IN NORTHLAND. WHILE THE SPORES CANNOT BE SEEN INDIVIDUALLY, LARGE AMOUNTS BECOME VISIBLE AND MOVE WITH THE WIND. IF YOU THINK ABOUT WHEN YOU BAKE YOUR BREAD AT HOME OR DO ANY BAKING, YOU BRUSH YOUR HANDS AGAINST YOUR TROUSERS. ALL OF A SUDDEN, YOUR TROUSERS ARE COVERED IN A FINE FLOUR. WALK ALONG, RUB AGAINST SOMEONE ELSE, AND THEN THAT FLOUR IS MOVED ON TO THE NEXT THING. AFFECTED TREES ARE SEALED AND SYSTEMATICALLY BROKEN DOWN AND BURIED. BUT NOW THERE ARE CONCERNS MYRTLE RUST COULD AFFECT OUR HONEY INDUSTRY. CURRENTLY, WE ONLY HAVE ONE POSITIVE MANUKA PLANT FOUND IN THE RESPONSE, SO THERE IS WIDER CONCERNS WITH BEE KEEPERS, OF COURSE. MPI HAS RECEIVED MORE THAN 1700 NOTIFICATIONS OF SUSPECTED MYRTLE RUST. IT'S TESTED 273 SAMPLES. AND COMING INTO SUMMER, IT'S ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO REPORT ANY POTENTIAL SIGHTINGS. THOSE SIGHTINGS ARE IMPORTANT, AS MYRTLE RUST BEHAVES DIFFERENTLY AT EACH LOCATION ` A SEEMINGLY TOUGH JOB STEMMING THE SPREAD WHILE TRYING TO ERADICATE THE DISEASE. SAM KELWAY 1 NEWS. A WELL-KNOWN KAITAIA SOCIAL WORKER'S BEEN FOUND NOT GUILTY OF CHILD SEX CRIMES. IT TOOK THE JURY JUST TWO HOURS TO FIND CHAPPY HARRISON INNOCENT OF ALL FIVE CHARGES AT WHANGAREI DISTRICT COURT. President Donald Trump has denied a Florida Congresswoman had overheard the phone conversation Between the bereaved wife and the president And said he was completely insensitive. I just had a very nice conversation with the woman. Did not say what the Congresswoman said, And most people are too surprised. The Congresswoman is standing by her account. She claims she heard the conversation on speakerphone In which the president told the grieving widow of Sgt Johnson: You heard that? He said that. Everyone knows when you go to war,That you could possibly not come back alive. But you don't remind a grieving widow of that. It's so insensitive. Wilson was with my Esher Johnson as she got the call The mother of two, six months pregnant with their third, Captured clinging to her husband's casket. Four men were killed during Isis raid in Niger. I was not the only person in the car. There is no reason to lie about a telephone call. Sgt Johnson's mother is corroborating the story. She told the Washington tin Post trumpet did disrespect her son and her daughter. THE CONGRESSWOMAN ALSO SAYS DONALD TRUMP NEVER ONCE REFERRED TO THE FALLEN SOLDIER BY NAME ON THE PHONE TO HIS WIDOWED WIFE, INSTEAD CALLING HIM "YOUR GUY". MELBOURNE'S CROWN CASINO IS UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT TONIGHT AFTER WHISTLE-BLOWERS SPOKE OUT. THEY CLAIM STAFF TAMPERED WITH POKIE MACHINES AND HELPED HIGH ROLLERS DODGE ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING RULES. AFTER 25 YEARS OF SIGHT-SAVING SURGERY, WHY THE FRED HOLLOWS FOUNDATION HAS SHIFTED ITS FOCUS, TARGETING PREVENTION IN THE PACIFIC. THE WAIT CONTINUES RIGHT NOW FOR WINSTON PETERS TO ANNOUNCE A COALITION DEAL. THESE ARE LIVE PICTURES FROM PARLIAMENT, WHERE THE NEW ZEALAND FIRST LEADER IS EXPECTED TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT SOON. 1 NEWS WILL CROSS BACK LIVE FOR ANY DEVELOPMENTS. A MELBOURNE CASINO'S BEEN ACCUSED OF TAMPERING WITH POKIE MACHINES TO FURTHER STACK THE ODDS AGAINST GAMBLERS. THREE FORMER EMPLOYEES- TURNED-WHISTLEBLOWERS SAY CROWN CASINO ALSO TURNED A BLIND EYE TO POTENTIAL MONEY LAUNDERING. ABC'S RICHARD WILLINGHAM REPORTS. THE ALLEGATIONS ARE EXPLOSIVE ` THAT CROWN CASINO BREACHED STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS TO RIP OFF GAMBLERS AND PROTECT HIGH ROLLERS FROM THE LAW. THREE FORMER CROWN EMPLOYEES HAVE TURNED WHISTLEBLOWER IN VIDEO INTERVIEWS TABLED IN PARLIAMENT BY INDEPENDENT MP ANDREW WILKIE. MANY LAWS HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN BROKEN, AND THE TRUTH WILL NOT BE UNCOVERED WITHOUT A PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY. THE MEN CLAIM CASINO MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTED THEM TO DELIBERATELY DISABLE BUTTONS ON POKER MACHINES. ANDREW WILKIE SAYS THE MEN APPROACHED HIM WITH THEIR CLAIMS ON CONDITION THEIR IDENTITIES ARE PROTECTED. THESE ARE VERY NERVOUS MEN WHO KNOW THEY'RE MAKING VERY SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS ABOUT CRIMINAL MISCONDUCT. ONE OF THE ALLEGATIONS IS THAT CROWN DELIBERATELY AVOIDED NOTIFYING THE COUNTRY'S ANTI-MONEY-LAUNDERING AGENCY AUSTRAC BY SPLITTING PAYMENTS OVER $10,000 BETWEEN DIFFERENT GAMBLERS' ACCOUNTS. IN THE INTERVIEWS, THEY ALSO SAY CASES OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WERE IGNORED AND ILLICIT DRUG USE WAS RIFE. IT'S UP TO THE AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT, UP TO THE VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT, UP TO THE PRIME MINISTER AND THE PREMIER TO PULL PEOPLE IN AND SAY, 'GO AND HAVE A LOOK AT THESE ALLEGATIONS 'AND SEE IF THERE'S ANY SUBSTANCE TO THEM. 'AND IF THERE IS ANY SUBSTANCE TO THEM, 'WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ABOUT IT?' CROWN, IN A STATEMENT TO THE STOCK EXCHANGE, SAID IT REJECTS ALL THE ALLEGATIONS MADE AND... THE ALLEGATIONS ALSO TAKE AIM AT VICTORIA'S GAMBLING COMMISSION FOR FAILING TO PROPERLY ACT WHEN THE RULES WERE BROKEN. THE FRED HOLLOWS FOUNDATION HAS BEEN RESTORING SIGHT IN LOW-INCOME COUNTRIES FOR 25 YEARS NOW. IN THE PACIFIC, THE HIGH INCIDENCE OF DIABETES HAS PROMPTED A MAJOR SHIFT IN THE WAY THE CHARITY CARRIES OUT ITS WORK. PACIFIC CORRESPONDENT BARBARA DREAVER EXPLAINS. (CRIES) EMERGING FROM THE DARKNESS AND BEING ABLE TO SEE AGAIN IS ONE OF THE GREATEST GIFTS OF ALL. CAN YOU SEE? 50,000 SIGHT-SAVING SURGERIES A LEGACY THAT'S CHANGING THE LIVES OF PACIFIC PEOPLE. IT REALLY IS A MARKER IN THE HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF EYECARE WHERE WE ARE ABLE TO CELEBRATE SOME OF THE GREAT SUCCESSES WE'VE HAD BUT ALSO RE-ENERGISE OURSELVES FOR THE WORK THAT STILL NEEDS TO BE DONE. AND THE FRED HOLLOWS FOUNDATION'S HAD TO CHANGE THE WAY IT WORKS BECAUSE OF DIABETES. IT CAN CAUSE BLINDNESS, AND PACIFIC NATIONS ARE AMONG THE WORST AFFECTED BY THE DISEASE. IN THE PAST, OVERSEAS SPECIALIST TEAMS WERE SENT IN, CAUSING ISSUES FOR PATIENTS TRAVELLING FROM REMOTE AREAS. NOW THE CHARITY'S TRAINING UP LOCAL STAFF, WORKING WITH GOVERNMENTS TO SET UP OUTREACH CLINICS TO ACCESS AT-RISK PATIENTS. IT'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE OLD CONCEPT OF 'FLY IN, FLY OUT'. WE'VE NOW GOT CONSISTENCY. WE'VE GOT CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE CARE. IT'S URGENTLY NEEDED. HERE IN SAMOA, IT'S ESTIMATED A QUARTER OF THE POPULATION HAS DIABETES. LOCAL EYE STAFF ARE KEY TO DIAGNOSING PROBLEMS AND ENCOURAGING VILLAGERS TO GET TESTED EARLY. THE ONES THAT WE ARE SEEING, WE ARE SEEING TOO LATE. A LOT OF THEM HAVE ALREADY LOST THEIR VISION. SO WE ARE MAKING THIS SERVICE ACCESSIBLE TO THE RURAL COMMUNITY. THESE COMMUNITY CLINICS ARE STARTING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. GPS ARE ON BOARD, REFERRING ANYONE WITH DIABETES TO HAVE AN EYE TEST. THAT'S WHAT I AM SEEING NOW ` THE NUMBERS IS GOING HIGHER. BUT IT'S GOOD THAT WE RUN A CLINIC HERE. SAMOANS TREATING SAMOANS IS PROVING A SUCCESSFUL REMEDY. (MAN SPEAKS IN SAMOAN) WE DISCUSS EVERYTHING IN OUR LANGUAGE. THE NEW ZEALAND GOVERNMENT'S GIVEN THE FRED HOLLOWS FOUNDATION $7.5M OVER FIVE YEARS, AND THAT'S GOING INTO FUNDING PROGRAMMES LIKE THIS. A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR SUCH LIFE-CHANGING RESULTS. BARBARA DREAVER, 1 NEWS. NOW TO A BRITISH WOMAN WHO'S LIVED THROUGH BOTH WORLD WARS AND EVERYTHING SINCE. AMY JOHNSON'S BEEN CELEBRATING HER 110TH BIRTHDAY, ALONGSIDE HER WAS HER DAUGHTER DOREEN (87), WHO HAD TO HELP HER MUM REMEMBER JUST WHICH BIRTHDAY IT WAS. MUST BE 110. IT IS 110. 110 WEDNESDAY? YES. OH! THANK YOU, GOD! (LAUGHS) MRS JOHNSON'S GREAT AGE EARNING HER ANOTHER BIRTHDAY CARD FROM THE QUEEN. WEATHER TIME NOW. DAN IS HERE. AND A FINE LOOKING DAY AND A WARM ONE DOWN SOUTH TOO! WARMEST DAY SINCE aPRIL AND MANY PARTS OF THE sOUTH. FOR WEATHER, SEE TVNZ.CO.NZ To finish off the week, and of course the long weekend ` Details of the sport. THE PEOPLE WE SEE WHEN WE'RE UNDER THE WEATHER MAY NOT ALWAYS BE IN THE BEST SHAPE THEMSELVES. UP AHEAD ` WHAT'S DRIVING SOME HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TO WORK ON EVEN WHEN THEY KNOW THEY'RE NOT WELL. STILL NO SIGN OF WINSTON PETERS. HE'S EXPECTED TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON A COALITION SOMETIME SOON. FOR THE VERY LATEST, LET'S GO TO POLITICAL EDITOR CORIN DANN AT PARLIAMENT. ARE MANY STATE ALL OVER pARLIAMENT. We have had an advisory confirming Winston Peters will make an announcement shortly. Media waiting. It is going to be any minute now. We will bring that to you as soon as it comes. There is no indication of which way is he will go. There are rumours and reports today that suggest he will go with Labour. We have greens getting ready to give their approval. Nothing is confirmed. No side has any indication of what will happen. HOW HEALTHY ARE OUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS? NEW RESEARCH SUGGESTS MANY ARE WORKING WHEN THEY'RE ILL BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GET ADEQUATE COVER. AND THE ROYAL NEW ZEALAND COLLEGE OF GPS WARNS WITH OUR AGING POPULATION, IT'S SET TO GET WORSE. SAM CLARKE REPORTS. HOPEFULLY YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE HAS SETTLED DOWN... THEY'RE THE PEOPLE YOU GO TO WHEN YOU'RE ILL, BUT HOW OFTEN ARE THEY UNDER THE WEATHER? THE DOCTOR WILL GO IN BECAUSE HE OR SHE KNOWS THAT 30 PEOPLE HAVE BOOKED TO SEE THEM THAT DAY. RESEARCH UNDERTAKEN BY CANTERBURY HEALTH PROVIDER PEGASUS HEALTH SUGGESTS THAT MIND-SET IS COMMON. OVER THE LAST YEAR, MORE THAN HALF OF CANTERBURY GPS AND PRACTICE NURSES HAVE ADMITTED WORKING WHILE ILL, WHILE 64% OF PHARMACISTS HAVE DONE THE SAME. MANY HAVEN'T TAKEN ANY SICK LEAVE IN THE LAST YEAR. IT'S A NATIONAL AND AN INTERNATIONAL ISSUE. OFFICIALS SAY SHORTAGES ACROSS MEDICAL PROFESSIONS ARE DRIVING THE PRESSURE TO WORK THROUGH REGARDLESS. AND WITH AN AGING WORKFORCE, THEY SAY IT'S LIKELY TO GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER. THE TIME BOMB IS TICKING IN TERMS OF GP RETIREMENTS, WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE DISTRIBUTION AROUND THE COUNTRY. THE NATIONAL NURSES ORGANISATION SAYS THE RESULTS AREN'T SURPRISING AND, IN FACT, REFLECTS THEIR OWN RESEARCH. THEY SAY MANY OF THEIR MEMBERS PUT A SENSE OF DUTY ABOVE THEIR INDIVIDUAL HEALTH AND A CULTURE CHANGE IS NEEDED BEFORE NURSES FEEL COMFORTABLE PUTTING THEMSELVES FIRST. EARLIER THIS WEEK, THE WORLD MEDICAL ASSOCIATION VOTED UNANIMOUSLY TO ADD A CLAUSE TO THE MODERN DAY HIPPOCRATIC OATH, URGING MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS TO ATTEND TO THEIR OWN HEALTH. IT'S VERY IMPORTANT, AND IT'S A POSITIVE MOVE FORWARD TO LOOK AFTER OUR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND MAKE SURE WE'RE ALL PRACTISING TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY TO HELP OUR PATIENTS. A MOVE THAT WILL HOPEFULLY MEAN HEALTHIER PATIENTS AND PRACTITIONERS. SAM CLARKE, 1 NEWS. THE MARK LUNDY APPEAL HEARING WRAPPED UP TODAY, WITH THE CROWN ARGUING THAT DNA EVIDENCE DOES INDEED SHOW LUNDY'S WIFE'S BRAIN MATTER WAS PRESENT ON HIS SHIRT. LUNDY WAS JAILED FOR KILLING HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER IN 2002, A RE-TRIAL IN 2015 ALSO FINDING HIM GUILTY. HIS LAWYERS CHALLENGED DNA EVIDENCE USED IN THE SECOND TRIAL, BUT THE CROWN CONTENDED THERE HAD BEEN NO MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE. THE JUDGES RESERVED THEIR DECISION. ANDREW'S HERE WITH SPORT. THE PLANETS ARE ALIGNING FOR BRENDON HARTLEY. WE TURN BACK THE CLOCK AS THE MEMORIES OF OUR MOTOR RACING GREATS COME TOGETHER TO SEND THE YOUNG STAR FROM PALMY NORTH ON HIS WAY. IT IS UNCANNY. THAT'S DENNY'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY ` THAT'S KARMA. SO WHAT DOES THE KIWI RETURN TO F1 MEAN FOR THE MCLAREN FAMILY? PLUS ` THE MAN UNDER THE ALL BLACKS MICROSCOPE IS WITH US FROM BRISBANE. AND PERUVIAN FANS SEND A MESSAGE TO THE ALL WHITES ` BRING YOUR EAR PLUGS. SUNDAY ON 'Q+A' ` SO NO DECISION YET. NZ FIRST IS YET TO MAKE A FINAL CALL ON WHO TO BACK INTO GOVERNMENT. WE'LL HAVE THE LATEST ON THOSE TALKS AND ANY DECISIONS. MAKE SURE YOU'RE WATCHING 'Q+A' SUNDAY MORNING AT 9 ON TVNZ 1. (ETHEREAL MUSIC) In a moment of clarity, Louisa saw that while power companies offered her all sorts of free months, cash bonuses and ultra-saver wingdings, she'd save more paying the actual wholesale price of her power. (MUSIC SWELLS) WHEN BRENDON HARTLEY RACES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FORMULA ONE THIS MONDAY, THE SPORT WILL BE CELEBRATING THE ANNIVERSARY OF A UNIQUE PIECE OF NZ SPORTS HISTORY. MONDAY MARKS THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF DENNY HULME'S 1967 FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE WIN. IT ALL MAKES FOR A SPECIAL WEEKEND AHEAD. NZ MOTOR RACING'S LEGACY LIVES LARGE AT THE HAMPTON DOWNS RACEWAY JUST SOUTH OF AUCKLAND, A KIWI RETURN TO F1 IS A DREAM COME TRUE FOR OUR FIRST FAMILY OF FORMULA ONE. BRUCE'S THINKING OF LEGACY AND SEEING THIS HAPPEN AGAIN WOULD BE VERY, VERY SPECIAL TO HIM. AT THE BRUCE MCLAREN HERITAGE CENTRE, HIS OLD MATE DENNY HULME'S MEMORABILIA HAS BEEN RESTORED FOR A NEW EXHIBITION OPENING NEXT WEEK. IT'S 50 YEARS SINCE HULME'S GOLDEN YEAR, 1967, WHEN, DRIVING FOR THE BRABHAM TEAM, HE WON THE MONACO GRAND PRIX AND ALSO CLAIMED VICTORY IN GERMANY AT THE FAMOUS NURBURGRING. ARCHIVE: THE TOP RINGMASTER OF 1967. A YEAR LATER HULME JOINED THE FLEDGLING MCLAREN TEAM ` THE SAME YEAR THAT BOB MCMURRAY STARTED HIS MORE THAN 30-YEAR-LONG ASSOCIATION WITH THE ICONIC KIWI MARQUE. FROM JAMES HUNT TO PROST AND SENNA TO MIKA HAKKINEN, HE'S SEEN IT ALL. HE BELIEVES BRENDON HARTLEY HAS WHAT IT TAKES BUT FACES A BIG TEST. DRIVING THE CARS, HE CAN ADAPT TO THAT QUITE QUICKLY. THE PROBLEM WILL BE G FORCES ON HIS NECK, BECAUSE FORMULA ONE CARS ARE INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO DRIVE AROUND CORNERS ` 4 G OR 5 G. MCMURRAY'S KEPT AN EYE ON HARTLEY SINCE HE CAME INTO THE SCENE IN SINGLE SEATERS AS A 13-YEAR-OLD. IT'S PRETTY MUCH WHOEVER GETS A CLEAN LAP IN. WHAT HE'S REALLY TRYING TO DO IS MAKE SURE HE'S AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN HIS TEAMMATE. I THINK HE WILL BE, AND HE HAS A CLEAN RACE TO THE END OF IT, AND GIVING FEEDBACK TO THE TEAM ALL THE TIME ` THEY NEED SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS THE CAR AND UNDERSTANDS HOW TO SORT A CAR OUT, AND I REALLY THINK BRENDON IS MORE THAN CAPABLE OF DOING THAT. WHEN HARTLEY RACES ON MONDAY NZ TIME, IT'S 50 YEARS EXACTLY SINCE DENNY HULME WON THE TITLE, AND BRUCE MCLAREN AND CHRIS AMON WERE COMPETING AT THEIR PEAK AS WELL. AMON'S SON JAMES HAS TRAINED HARTLEY IN THE PAST. IT IS UNCANNY. THAT'S DENNY'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY ` THAT'S KARMA. THE LATEST STEP IN BRENDON HARTLEY'S TALE OF PERSISTENCE WILL BE WATCHED FROM HERE AND ABOVE. THE KIWIS ARE NEARING THE END OF THEIR WORLD CUP PREPARATIONS AT THE TURANGAWAEWAE MARAE IN NGARUAWAHIA. GETTING BACK TO THEIR KIWI ROOTS HAS NOT ONLY BROUGHT THE TEAM CLOSER; IT'S HELPED THE YOUNGEST PLAYERS EXPRESS THEMSELVES LIKE NEVER BEFORE, AS MATT MANUKIA EXPERIENCED FIRST-HAND. A NEW GENERATION OF KIWIS IS ON THE RISE IN NGARUAWAHIA, AND A NEW ASSISTANT FOR COACH DAVID KIDWELL, BEN GARDINER ` A LAST-MINUTE CALL-UP AFTER HIS PREDECESSOR, GARTH BRENNAN, GOT THE TITANS JOB TODAY. GOT IN AT MIDNIGHT LAST NIGHT, SORT OF USING MY IPHONE TO MOVE AROUND IN THE MATTRESSES AND FIND A GAP FOR HIM TO PLACE HIS HEAD. THE BIG NAMES ARE DRIVING A CULTURE THAT'S KEEPING THE TEAM GROUNDED OVER THE THREE-DAY CAMP ON THE MARAE... SLEEPING IN THE MARAE... (LAUGHS) WITH ABOUT 30 BLOKES DEFINITELY BRINGS YOU CLOSER. ...AND GIVING THE NEW FACES FREEDOM TO BE THEMSELVES, LIKE YOUNG NEWCASTLE HOOKER DANNY LEVI, WHO'S ALSO THE TEAM BARBER. WHEN I FIRST MOVED OVER TO NEWCASTLE, I WAS TRYING TO FIND BARBER SHOPS TO GO TO AND THAT, AND THEY WERE ALL TOO EXPENSIVE, AND I DIDN'T HAVE MUCH MONEY. SO I JUST STARTED CUTTING MY OWN HAIR. FIVE YEARS AGO, HE WAS WORKING AS A PLUMBER IN WELLINGTON WHEN THE KNIGHTS SCOUTED HIM PLAYING ALONGSIDE CHILDHOOD FRIEND AND NRL PREMIERSHIP WINNER NELSON ASOFA-SOLOMONA. THE TWO 21-YEAR-OLDS ARE THE YOUNGEST PLAYERS IN THE TEAM. HE'S A REALLY GOOD FULLA, AND HE'S REALLY TALENTED. REALLY YOUNG TOO, SO ME AND HIM HAVE GOT A LOT OF DEVELOPING. AND HIM BEING A HOOKER AND ME BEING A PROP, YOU KNOW, WE CAN PLAY OFF EACH OTHER. THE UNCAPPED LEVI IS COMPETING WITH THOMAS LEULUAI AND KODI NIKORIMA FOR THE STARTING HOOKER SPOT, BUT JUST BEING IN CAMP HAS BEEN A DREAM COME TRUE. IT'S PRETTY SURREAL AT THE MOMENT, EH. IT'S BEEN A MASSIVE DREAM OF MINE. I'M FINALLY HERE, SO I'VE JUST GOTTA MAKE THE MOST OF IT. BUT IF HIS FORM IN CAMP IS ANYWHERE NEAR HIS HAIRCUTTING SKILLS, THAT DEBUT COULD COME SOONER THAN MANY EXPECT. MATT MANUKIA, 1 NEWS. THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT SUNCORP STADIUM BRISBANE THAT OFTEN BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN AN AUSSIE TEAM, SO THE ALL BLACKS ARE LEAVING NOTHING TO CHANCE WITH THE SIDE THEY'VE PICKED TO PLAY THE FINAL BLEDISLOE CUP MATCH THIS WEEKEND. THERE ARE JUST TWO CHANGES, BOTH INJURY-ENFORCED, TO THE STARTING SIDE THAT PLAYED SOUTH AFRICA TWO WEEKS AGO, WITH WAISAKE NAHOLO COMING ON TO THE RIGHT WING AND LIMA SOPOAGA MAKING JUST HIS SECOND TEST START. SOPOAGA WILL BE VITAL TO COUNTERING THE SUNCORP EFFECT. HERE'S AUSTRALIA CORRESPONDENT KIMBERLEE DOWNS. COMMANDING PLENTY OF ATTENTION TODAY, LIMA SOPOAGA IS READY TO STEP IN TO FILL THOSE MIGHTY BEAUDEN BARRETT-SIZED BOOTS. I DON'T THINK I'D BE ABLE TO REALLY ARTICULATE WITH YOU GUYS REALLY HOW MUCH IT ACTUALLY MEANS TO ME. IT WILL BE JUST HIS SECOND START IN 13 TESTS. THE FIRST WAS IN 2015. THIS TIME HE SAYS THE COMFORT FACTOR IS A BIG ONE. COS I THINK WHEN YOU FIRST COME IN HERE, IT'S QUITE A DAUNTING TASK AND HARD TO FIND YOUR FEET, BUT NOW I FEEL COMFORTABLE IN MY OWN SKIN. HE'S HAPPY DRIVING THE BUS, SO TO SPEAK, SO I'D EXPECT HIM TO FRONT UP AND PLAY A REALLY GOOD TEST MATCH. THOUGH WITH SOPOAGA, THERE IS ALSO THE ADDED PRESSURE OF KICKING DUTIES. HISTORY SUGGESTS THE KICKERS COULD HAVE A VITAL ROLE HERE AT SUNCORP STADIUM ON SATURDAY. IT'S A GROUND THAT'S PRODUCED MIXED RESULTS AND TIGHT CONTESTS BETWEEN THESE TEAMS IN RECENT YEARS. I DON'T MIND KICKING A GOAL. IT'S PRETTY GOOD FUN. THE ALL BLACKS ESCAPED WITH A ONE-POINT VICTORY IN THE FINAL MOMENTS OF THEIR LAST ENCOUNTER WITH THE WALLABIES IN BRISBANE IN 2014. THE TEST BEFORE THAT AT SUNCORP IN 2012 ENDED IN AN 18-18 DRAW. AND BEFORE THAT, IN 2011, THE WALLABIES WON IT 25-20. THOUGH YOU WON'T SEE THE ALL BLACKS BUYING INTO THE IDEA SUNCORP HAS HISTORICALLY CAUSED THEM TROUBLE. WE'VE WON FOUR AND DRAWN ONE AND LOST ONE, SO NOT TOO MIXED. I THINK IT'S A BIT OF A FALLACY TO SAY THAT WE HAVEN'T HAD MUCH SUCCESS HERE. I THINK, OVER TIME MY TIME, ANYWAY, WE'VE ONLY LOST ONE AND DRAWN ONE. TO BREAKING NEWS, AND WINSTON PETERS IS ABOUT TO FRONT AT PARLIAMENT. LET'S GO NOW TO POLITICAL EDITOR CORIN DANN. WE ARE TOLD BY HIS MEDIA STAFF THAT HE HAS FINISHED THAT MEETING THAT HE WAS IN And he is on his way, So we would expect to see him passing behind me not too far away In delivering that decision. It has been a long way since the election, Since those special votes came in on the seventh, With around 12 days of negotiation Which is still not as long as 1996. It has been similar. Labour claims they don't know which way he will go. There have been leaks that have been pushed back over ministerial positions from national. That is unusual for there to have been a leak. There has been reports that Winston Peters was seen going up to labour. As a 1996, Last-minute offers can change things. That was a legend from 1996. The Treasurer's position was put up late in the piece. We should see Winston Peters here shortly. After that I would expect for both of the leaders Labour or national, To hold press converses as well. We can expect to have a busy night here at Parliament. We will stay right through as much as we can To try and bring that to you. For now we continue to stand by and wait for Mr Peters to deliver his speech. RELIEF THIS AFTERNOON FOR ONE OF OUR MAIN CAULFIELD CUP HOPES IN MELBOURNE. HIGHLY-FANCIED MARE BONNEVAL WAS BEING CLOSELY WATCHED BY VETS AFTER HAVING SCANS THIS MORNING. BUT AS GUY HEVELDT REPORTS, HER KIWI TRAINER HAS JUST DISCOVERED SHE'S GOOD TO GO. SHE'S THE CENTRE OF ATTENTION BUT NOT FOR THE REASONS MANY EXPECTED ` BONNEVAL HAVING AN X-RAY AND STILL NOT CLEARED TO START IN THE CAULFIELD CUP. I AM A LITTLE BIT SURPRISED, BECAUSE IF SHE WAS SORE, WE WOULDN'T BE PERSEVERING WITH HER. SHE SEEMS TO BE MOVING WELL, AND SHE'S BOUNCING COMING OFF THE TRACK, SO I'D SAY IT'S ALL SYSTEMS GO. THE SCANS HAVE COME BACK CLEAR, BUT DOUBT HAS EMERGED AROUND BONNEVAL EVER SINCE HER SIXTH IN THE CAULFIELD STAKES LAST WEEKEND. MURRAY BAKER WAS PLEASED WITH THAT RUN. I KNOW THAT THE RACING VICTORIA VET WOULD PROBABLY DISAGREE WITH US, BUT WE'RE HAPPY WITH HER. BONNEVAL HAS DRIFTED OUT OF FAVOURITISM IN THE MARKET TODAY FOLLOWING THE SCARE. A WEEK AGO, SHE WAS IN EVERYONE'S CALCULATIONS AFTER HER MOST RECENT WIN IN THE UNDERWOOD STAKES. BONNEVAL TAKES GAILO CHOP. AND BONNEVAL WON AGAIN. HER JOCKEY HOPES FOR SOME RAIN FOR HER BEST CHANCE. MYSELF AND MURRAY MIGHT DO A LITTLE RAIN DANCE TO TRY AND GET SOME JUICE ON THE TRACK. IT WOULD JUST SUIT HER PERFECTLY. IF BONNEVAL DOESN'T MAKE IT TO THE STARTING GATES, BAKER AND HIS TRAINING PARTNER, ANDREW FORSMAN, WILL HAVE ANOTHER RUNNER TO PIN THEIR HOPES ON ` THE EVER-IMPRESSIVE JON SNOW, COMING OFF A THIRD IN THE STAKES AND READY TO FIRE. WE'RE VERY HAPPY WITH HIM. HE'S JUST KEPT IMPROVING, AND HE'S A HORSE THAT LOVES BEING A RACEHORSE. A BIG COUPLE OF DAYS AHEAD FOR MAESTRO MURRAY AS HE TRIES TO EXTEND HIS RECORD OF GROUP-ONE WINS IN AUSTRALIA TO 21. GUY HEVELDT, 1 NEWS. That is sport, but we have breaking news. Winston is about to front in Parliament. Winston Peters walked past me 20 seconds ago. He should be making his way to the podium to deliver that decision. He was accompanied by a couple of people. It is been a long wait this afternoon. We are going to get this decision from him. Will it be labour? It has been a long 12 days. Let's have a listen to see what he has to say. Thank you very much for coming along. And for being patient and waitingOut this event. You may not believe it, but I am grateful to you that you have turned up. Let's begin by thanking both the national and labour parties for the matter in which these to go sessions have been conducted in the work they are put into it. It should be said that during this time, elements of how politics should operate with MMP Was seen with great clarity. On 23 September, election day, The effect of over 436,000 votes For 70% of the total Were not known. We believe that on election night, Those are uncluttered votes would have a profound effect on the final outcome. That is why New Zealand first waited till the October 7 to find out the numbers we were dealing with And what that meant Before beginning negotiations with interested parties In bringing this matter to finality as soon as we could In the most responsible time. When started negotiations today after October 8. We believe that 11 days from start to finish is not too long to wait And stands in stark contrast to the months that it will take for the take For the German government to be known. Germany had an election the day after hours. New Zealanders will know the outcome of their election day tonight. The German people will now not know The outcome of their election Until December. This is a decision made by New Zealand first. And it is their decision, not that of the leader. Every New Zealand first MP and board member as a witness to that. We consulted. That has been our for the last 24 years. I have been into governmental agreements with different parties. We have shaken hands in both those former prime ministers have confirmed as a result of that agreement, I kept my word In the last campaign, The labours and greens campaigned as an alternate of government. On the question of the numerical construction of the government, New Zealand first was never consulted. Many commentators factored in our support as a given. That enabled the National Party To claim they were facing a group of three parties. When New Zealand first were concerned they should cut out the middleman. Whether people like it or not, The strategies of both those alternatives failed. That is why we are in the position we are in now. That said, the decision that is about to be announced does not represent just over 7% of the vote Or 70% or dare I say at 45%. This decision-maker the majority in mmP environment in Parliament. My first government had under 40% of the vote and on less than 10,000 in the opposition party. On the agreement, we want to stress that it survived the negotiations. As the song goes, you can't always get what you want. Our negotiations have taken place against a backdrop of changing international economic circumstances, Which we cannot and nor. We in New Zealand first believe in economic erections In the first sign is already here. The housing market slowdown. The trading bank is nervous. We believe in the cessation of hot money from abroad. And receding consumer optimism and in Epping retailer confidence. There were great risks and whatever decision we made. Some will attempt when the looming dangers come to heap the blame on us. Those blame caricatures are both spurious and displaced won't stop attempts to describe the cause. That is why we are putting the scenario out front right now So that such attempts will fail. Awareness of looming consensus has affected our decision. Our choice today relates to how best we mitigate not worsen what is coming And its impact on as many many New Zealanders as forcible. Can I say this as part of New Zealand first, We believe to secure major policies to advance New Zealand economically and socially. They call small, all of these policies are important. When we construct the agreements relating to those matters, we have negotiated. These policies will be published. It is not my responsibility to summarise those today. That will befall someone else. Can I just say far too many New Zealanders have come to view today's capitalism Not as their friend, but as their foe. They are not all wrong. That is why we believe that capitalism must regain its responsible, human face. That perception has influenced New Zealand 1st to go sessions. We had a choice to make, Whether it was with national or labour, For a modified status quo or for change. In our negotiations, both national and labour were presented with that opportunity. Working together, cooperating together, or New Zealand. That is why in the end we chose A coalition government Of New Zealand first With the New Zealand Labour Party. Thank you very much. Any questions? How many portfolios have you got? It is a sizeable list, But some are big and some are small. It is up to the lead believer to announce those. Do you think the greens will be signing off on this? That is not my prop province either. We entered negotiations with labour knowing that they would handle the greens. We were always wanting to be in a coalition government with one party, not more. That is an answer that I cannot give. It has to be given to someone else. Do you think Jacinda is up to the job? We would not have made the decision. If we didn't What qualities do you believe she will bring? Amongst other things, she exhibited extraordinary talents in the campaign. It was from a hopeless position to a position where In the office of seeing the Government today. Do you think the policies you have can bring about significant change to the economic structure of New Zealand Our perception was the people of this country Did one change. We have responded to that. I believe in the affirmative to what you said will happen. That's what we will put all our efforts into to make sure it works And we get the change that this country believes it needs. Have you told just under this yet? 1st to the New Zealand people. They are the people that put us here are not politicians. Let me say that Any role I have As an agreement with the Prime Minister If I decided to do it. Can you tell us what that was? If I choose to be the Deputy Prime Minister, it was made clear to me. If I chose to take certain portfolios, then we would discuss it with the prime minister. I don't want to say which ones laser. What will this mean to exporters? I hope it means that we will start returning to an economy that understands we live and die by exporting, That exporting has been in decline and we need to turn it around. Unless we get more people successful Businesses offshore bring back money, The slide will continue. We have not got the Minister of Finance's job. It is for him to answer those questions. If the IMF and every other commentator including the head of New Zealand bank said our dollar is overvalued, The political system should respond to it. An historic moment here at Parliament with Winston Peters announcing he will be going into a coalitiongovernment with the Labour Party, So Jacinda is the Prime Minister elects. He would not say the policies that have worked out And not confirming what ministerial role he will take. What was extraordinary is that Winston Peters was signalling he wants a change to capitalism. He wants change in the way in which the economy is run in New Zealand. It is a fair bet that the New Zealand dollar has fallen on this result. It was already wavering at any mention of labour New Zealand first coalition. There will be quite some in packed on that. It is labour New Zealand first coalition government. We will get details on policies. We will have more coming up more on seven sharp in a moment Significant economic ramifications.
