Cyclone Gabrielle has been described as the worst storm to hit New Zealand this century, causing a national state of emergency and devastating the Hawke’s Bay region. But amongst the carnage there were countless acts of kindness and support, even after the flood waters receded communities banded together to help those who lost everything in the floods.
