This is the second year that we as a nation have celebrated this public holiday and the arrival of the Matariki constellation that signifies the Māori New Year in New Zealand. We were fortunate enough to be joined by Dr Rangi Mātāmua. Matariki is into its 2nd year being celebrated in Aotearoa and raising it’s thorny head is commercialisation of the holiday.
