We're with the iwi of Te Hiku o Te Ika at the commemoration of the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi at Kaitaia. But times are changing, and the tools that once built greatness, are no longer enough. That is why the Kohanga Reo National Trust called a wananga to upskill all teachers in the Mataatua and Tauranga Moana region. Te Okiwa McLean reports. We're unable to provide subtitles. To Te Hiku o Te Ika, the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi has been commemorated at Tuahu, Kaitaia. The iwi of Muriwhenua gathering at an auspicious ceremony today to remember more than 60 rangatira who signed on this very day, 185 years ago. Harata Brown has more. Renowned Maori artist Lisa Reihana says Te Wheke a Muturangi anchors an art trail with powerful storytelling drawn from Maori cosmology.
