A documentary about George VI who, as Duke of York, lived in the shadow of his elder brother Edward VIII and never wanted to be King. When his brother fell in love with Wallis Simpson and abdicated, he had no choice but to take up his brother's role. In the 16 years of his reign, though totally unprepared for kingship, he forge an historical alliance with PM Winston Churchill and was able to lead Britain through the dark hours of WWII.
