The story of Charlotte Lucy, who almost died at nine months from meningicoccal disease which resulted in her having all her limbs amputated. Charlotte’s separated parents work together to cope with her recovery at the Wilson Centre for children in Takapuna. The documentary records the progress of her rehabilitation. At 11 months she is seen being fitted with four artificial limbs. They return to Waiheke Island to face the challenges of living at home.
