Rikers High
The jails on Rikers island in New York City house 14,000 inmates, with 2,000 being eighteen years old or younger. Those with sentences of under two years are in separate areas in the jails and go to Island Academy, an official city high school. ‘Rikers High’ follows a year in the life of three boys in this academy.
Based on the 1950s US show of the same name, This Is Your Life has been honouring and embarrassing famous New Zealanders since 1984.
